Foster Kids of the Merrimack Valley held there Summer Fun Roll Thru Donation Drop-off on Saturday May 22, 2021. They collected more than two truckloads of toys from the surrounding communities. FKMV volunteers, including Salem Co-op’s Sarah Rastello, then sorted the toys in preparation of them being distributed to kids who are currently in foster care. Social workers from the Lawrence and Haverhill Department of Children and Families collected items for the kiddos in their care on Tuesday May 25th.

Did you know that 1 in 184 children in the U.S. are in the foster care system? Foster Kids of the Merrimack Valley is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of these children in the Merrimack Valley. Throughout the year they hold events to raise money and provide opportunities to donate items that help make foster children’s transition to a foster home a bit easier.
