Sonshine Soup Kitchen Posted in Community Outreach | May, 2022 print friendly version

On May 24, 2022, Salem Co-operative Bank employees Sue Mckiniry, Kim Hackett, Naomi Bergstrom and Laura Cortese (not shown) volunteered their meal prep skills at Sonshine Soup Kitchen in Derry, NH.   In addition to cooking and prepping fifty-five meals, volunteer duties included a complete clean-up and sanitization of the kitchen.

Sonshine Soup Kitchen prepares and serves a nourishing meal to approximately 50-60 individuals, five days per week.  They rely on volunteers to help make this happen.  Salem Co-operative Bank has made a commitment to volunteer a team of five employees every other month to help.

Giving as little as three hours of your time to help those in need makes a big impact on the lives that you affect.  Our volunteers think that this time has also made quite an impact on them as well.
